Drivers, firmware & manuals
Good news: most USB-C hubs, chargers and cables need no driver at all. 4 of 37 products we cover have optional or required software; they're listed first. Every link goes to the manufacturer's own site, so you always get the genuine, latest version.
No driver is needed for core use: macOS 14.6+ and Windows 11 support the TS5 natively over Thunderbolt. CalDigit publishes Thunderbolt firmware updaters for macOS and Windows, an optional macOS Docking Station Utility (one-click drive eject), and a Windows Ethernet driver for Arm-based PCs.
Driverless on macOS 11+ and Windows 10+ via native Thunderbolt 4 support; Plugable notes Windows may benefit from installing the Realtek RTL8153B Ethernet driver for best network performance. Plugable staff state there are currently no firmware updates for the TBT4-UD5.
